Is it normal for upgrade to break jails

I did an upgrade from a new-ish 9.2.1.6 install to 9.2.1.7.

Went fine, except it borked my transmission plugin/jail. Plugin just wouldn't start - at that time being fresh to freenas I went the easy route and just trashed the plugin/jail then reinstalled and reconfigured.

Now I'm a bit more familiar with freenas/jails and more importantly I have all my plugins running the way I want exactly - so wondering: is it normal for jails/plugins to break after an upgrade?

Nope. It's not. I've done updates with my jails (and plugins are nothing but pre-made jails) and never had a problem.
