No. It might "work" but there are likely to be driver issues and other early adopter problems. Try giving it half a year. There's nothing wrong with the X10 boards, or even the older X9 stuff.

Besides concerns about it being new, Z170 implies no ECC. There's frankly no good reason not to use ECC.

Oh crap, my bad. I didn't even notice that. Yes, please use boards that use server, not consumer, chipsets, for maximum ZFS goodness.
