Iperf test doesnt do anything

This is my system

Build FreeNAS-9.2.1-RELEASE-x64 (bd35c86)
Platform Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 847 @ 1.10GHz
Memory 8063MB
3 WD Red 2 TB Drives

When I run Iperf test from the web console shell i get this output

[root@freenas ~]# iperf -s
------------------------------------------------------------
Server listening on TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 64.0 KByte (default)

but it never shows anything else. am i typing in the command wrong?

I want to test my system because i am getting kb/s transfer speeds on large and small files.

You need to run it from a client also. Iperf measure throughout between two computers on a network.
