Hi!

Iocage sets ipv6_activate_all_interfaces="YES" by default for new jails. If I'm not terribly mistaken that means that the jail should listen to and accept router advertisements. I do have an IPv6 router sending advertisements in my local LAN, but the vnet0 interface inside the jail doesn't get an address.

There is some discussion in FreeBSD related forums/mailing-lists that setting sysctl net.inet6.ip6.dad_count=0 in the host systems should fix the problem - only that it doesn't.

Any hints greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Patrick

Ah - that's why it works for us in our data centre. All static IPv6 configuration there.

Thanks

So, still no update here? The target version was changed from 11.1 to 11.2 10 days ago ... :(

Which means I still cannot use iocage jails instead of bhyve VMs.
