Hello,
I tried my first NAS build and installed freenas on it.
Board: Asrock B450 gaming itx/ac
RAM: 32 Gb
SSD: nvme M.2 500 Gb
Data disk: 4 x WD Red 8 Tb
additional: PCIe QUAD NIC (EXPI9404PT) card which is recognized and seems to work ok as long as only one port has a connection to the router.
After having issues with installation (and reinstallation) of Plex which seemed to be caused by the onboard Realtik NIC I ordered an INTEL QUAD NIC board.
Now Plex is installed and I wanted to set up a VM (Win 10 ) with its own IP in my home network.
At the moment when I plug in a second network cable into that QUAD NIC card the whole network goes down and the freenas cannot be reached anymore.
Unplugging it brings the network back.
I am sure I missed some important steps. Can someone help me out here please?
Thanks a lot.
