Installing HBA card | Where do I begin?

I have a storage controller card which was sold as Sun SGX-SAS6-INT-Z 8 Port 6Gbps SAS 2 HBA 375-3640

I put it in my windows machine to learn more about it, and here's what I got: LSI 9207-8i

1. Is this compatible with Truenas?
2. How do I get this working?

From the searching I've done, I've read about flashing the card: crossflash it to be an LSI 9211-8i

EDIT: after more reading, it seems requires to upgrade firmware to v20 IT

Which it appears my model cannot do

If you're planning on using that with ZFS, start by throwing it in the trash.
