Installing Boinc Client

I am pretty new to Freenas and while I am familiar with Linux I am struggling with installing the boinc client, I have logged in as root on a terminal using putty and I believe I need to use the command pkg_add -r boinc-client (note for anyone reading this the package is "boinc-client" and not "boinc_client" as mentioned on some websites) Can anyone please tell me if I do this does the boinc client install on the flash drive or on the hard drive?
