I want to install encfs to my FreeNAS 8.01 Beta 4 box.
The default way with pkg_add and this Port is not working.
As I found out in other posts, adding new packages is not supported - yet.
Therefore I tried to untar the necessary packages and moved all files from the lib and bin folders to the FreeNAS filesystem.
This worked!
But is there any hidden disadvantage? Any damage to the system or possible data corruption?
