Install stops. 12.0 11.3 and 11.1

I have an i5-3570k on an asus P8Z77-V mobo 16gb of ram. It was a windows machine I'm making into a Nas. I can't get past the first menu after selecting install. Ive tried using 11.1, 11.3 and 12.0 using Rufus and two seperate usb drives. I'll press 1 and then the system stops at the screen below. Any ideas?

I feel silly now. Digging back to my old trouble shooting days. I did a bios update and what do you know it worked.
