Hi All,

I am considering install the OS on a USB stick and let the device boot from the USB. I have a stupid question before I really do it. If I install other services later, does it mean those services are installed on the USB too? I plan to leave the USB inserted into the device all the time. And minimize the risk of formatting hard disk.

Thank you

Well. For starters, installing to USB is the preferred and recommended method.

Secondly when you add jails/plugins they go on storage, not on the thumb drive. Have you been introduced to the documentation which covers all of this?
