Hey folks,
I am looking into building my own NAS with FreeNAS OS.
Use case:
1. Mainly CIFS
2. Backup my data from my laptops
3. Download website backups to my local NAS via SCP or FTP
The hardware I was looking at:
Case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ASIN=B008R524GS&linkCode=as2&tag=brisblo0b-20
PSU: http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master...-PCARD3-US/dp/B001G0WPLK/ref=pd_bxgy_pc_img_y
Motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Intel-H7...73324438&sr=1-2&keywords=motherboard+Mini-ITX
CPU: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i3-3220-Dual-Core-Processor-Cache/dp/B0093H8HXS/ref=pd_sim_e_3
Memory: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Venge...M2A1600C9/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=pd_bxgy_pc_text_z
Do you think this is enough CPU and Memory?
Are there any other recommendations? I try to stay below 400USD without disks.
Thanks,
Jan
