Hi,

I'm a newbie at FreeNAS and need some guidance.
I want to use de HP ML30 and FreeNAS to create some iSCSI targets to backup to.

I tried to install FN-11 on a HP ML30, after some fights with the raid controller B410i finally it is installing.
when I log in I see only da0, but cant find da1,da2 and da3. (4x 6tb Toshiba disks).

I tried 1 big array of 18tb, it installs but never boot UEFI boot.
I tried 4 arrays if 6TB that seems to work it works but nowhere to find da1,da2 and da3.
I tried to create no array, it installs but never boot UEFI boot.

Question, is it possible to get it working as it should be.
how do I set it up.

many thanks in advance,

gr Victor

Hardware RAID controllers and FreeNAS/ZFS just don't jive together.

The reason you see only da0 is probably because the RAID controller presents all the disks as 1 huge disk to ZFS/FreeNAS.

Unless you can configure that RAID controller to act as a simple disk controller, without doing any RAID-y stuff at all, get rid of it and use a proper HBA instead.
