The jail has a static IP yes.what particular problem are you seeing?
you provide no details so it is a bit hard to help. have you setup a static IP for your plexpy jail in both freenas and your router?
Worked a charm.Mine is listening on port 8181, although I can't remember if I configured that :D Try http://<your-jail-ip>:8181
still stuck on 14.11 even after i've clicked restart.for plexpy?
did you miss the update button in the settings? if you installed properly then you should be able to update that way.
Tried that.I've noticed with the last few updates that it can get stuck in an updating loop. If it restarts after the 120 second countdown, I simply restart the jail and everything is up to date.
Done that still the restarted via webgui and the freenas jail still nada.Have you updated it before? If not, perhaps you don't have git (which is uses to fetch the latest version) installed in the jail? 'pkg install git' should fix that.
Says that it's not a git repo on all commands.Not sure then :D
I'd have a go at updating manually in the plexpy jail shell using these instructions - https://github.com/JonnyWong16/plexpy/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions-(FAQ)#general-q5 - and see if it throws up any errors. Or have a look in the plexpy logs (quite a lot of info is available in the WUI) to see what it's doing.
Pinging from within the jail works fine.Do you have external connectivity within the plexpy jail (can you ping 8.8.8.8)? If you can, perhaps theres a problem with the git install. You could remove it and reinstall.
# service plexpy start plexpy does not exist in /etc/rc.d or the local startup directories (/etc/ix.rc.d /usr/local/etc/rc.d)
plexpy_enable="YES"
