Hi everyone,
I'm building a new Freenas server upgrading my old UDF configuration to a ZFS system.
It's an home system and will be pretty simple.

Storage:
• 2 WD Green 1.5 TB to store Videos (mainly 1080p mkv) and Pictures in Raid 1
• 1 WD Black 320 GB as webserver (no Raid) in jail with apache+mysql+php
• Kingstone data traveler 8GB Flash memory to install the OS

Hardware:
• MB Asrock H61M-VG4
• CPU Intel Celeron G1610

So the question is:
Are 2x4 GB DDR3 1600 CL8 Non-ECC enough for this system in ZFS?

Thank you in advance for any answer.

It's barely enough.

However, the hardware is generally inadequate and you should consider some proper server hardware.

You're right, but it's a super cheap solution with obtained components.
It's just for domestic usage and will be activated "on demand".

Lenovo TS140 or Dell T20. These are proper servers with ECC. Add an 8GB ECC DIMM and done. The TS140 i3 should be available for less than $200 off newegg.
