Well, even though I'm a Mac user and I will only be connecting to FreeNAS via Mac and iSCSI, I have learned that AFP is deprecated and that I should use Windows datasets and shares and not Apple datasets and AFP.
However, I cannot figure out now to set permissions for datasets. All of the "Mode" options are greyed out:
Is the only way to setup permission is to set an owner and/or group?
