Hi,

My FreeNAS is repeatedly rebooting. When I look at the error messages, it seems that Plex Jail is causing the system panic. I would like to disable it so that the jail will not auto start anymore.

I tried single user mode and enter:
mount -a
mount -uw /
Then edited /etc/rc.conf as well as /base/conf/etc/rc.conf by adding jail_enable="NO"

Still it is loading jail.

Any suggestion on how can I disable jail using single-user mode or how can I resolve this panic issue?

FreeNAS-9.10.2 is installed on USB thumbdrive.

Thanks!

Looking at my FreeNAS 9.10.2-U1 system, it seems that jail autostart is controlled by the presence of an empty file named "autostart" which sits in the /mnt/<jail dataset>/.<jail name>.meta directory. All my jails that autostart have such a file, and none of the others jails have it. Go in that directory and execute a touch autostart rm autostart, and I bet your Plex jail will no longer autostart.

Kevin, Thanks. Should I delete rm the file rather than touch since I do not want the jail to autostart?
