To hot swap drives do you have to do anything in FreeNAS or can you just pull the drives without a problem?

Your mileage may vary... Your OS is FreeNAS 9.10 (stable) and that version of FreeNAS can crash if you just pull a drive out without offlining it.

Thanks, I ended up having to upgrade FreeNAS anyway because something stuffed up with my boot drive but I'll bookmark that link.
