I'm new to this site. I've been working in IT for a while now, although not in storage area.
I joined this forum because I assembled me a FreeNAS box to safely store all my personal data.
So far I'm very happy with it. If it wasn't for the PEBCAK, I probably wouldn't have troubles at all ;)

Welcome to FreeNAS forums. I hope everything goes well and that you are using good server quality hardware. Why did I say that you ask? because you said "I assembled me a FreeNAS box to safely store all my personal data." so I assume you really do want to safely store all you data. ZFS is a great file system however it comes with a lot of requirements which is where we can lose people because a server system is not terribly cheap in general.
