Help with Perc H310 Mini IT Mode

Hi guys,


me again, I thought it was going to be straight forward to flash my Perc Raid H310 to IT mode , how wrong I was.


I have a Dell R720XD with a Perc H310 Raid controller. I pretty sure I need to have the right firmware on the perc card for Freenas to work.



I cant even get freenas installed, trying to use 2 usb sticks, one in the front and the other in the machine.


At present I haven’t done any flashing as I worried I will brick my card as if you don’t follow the right guide it can be curtains.

I am familiar with windows and cmd prompt. I am very unfamiliar with Linux and Ubuntu.

However these are for Linux which I find hard just to get Ubuntu working on the server.

however I am not sure if this is for My raid card H310 Mini as the video shows a H310 (No Mini)

Ok I have followed the guide and I am up to


Im up to the following

lsirec/lsirec 0000:01:00.0 unbind

open bar1 no such file or directory

Not sure what to do now.

sorry guys, me being stupid, just saw the iso which does everything for you. My bad.

I have a Dell R510 and that H310 card. NOTHING I did would flash the card. I read in different locations that flashing it in the Dell may just not be possible. YMMV, but I ended up purchasing a p20 preflashed H310 from eBay and Off to the races I went. Best of luck!
