TrueNAS newb here, set up this server a few months ago to store Plex/backup/smb stuffs. Only issue I'm having is every few days the web gui shows this, and server is unresponsive.

It seems like its asleep or something, but power is still on, no disks are spinning. The only way to effect it is to hold the power button and force it off. Once turned back on it boots normally, and everything works great for a few days.

I am not very good at this stuff, but if someone was able to give me a clue it would be greatly appreciated. I have the console messages activated on the bottom of the gui, but it only shows messages after reboot.

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Motherboard
32GB Ram
10x 16TB Drives in Raidz2
Fractal Design 7 XL, with a ton of Noctua fans everywhere
Connected ethernet w/ cat6 static IP
UPS Battery backup connected by usb
Running Plex and SMB

Thank you for your time!

Probably the well documented AMD C-States issue.

oh, I didn't know!
ok, I've disabled C-States in the bios, I guess I will report back in a couple days. Fingers Crossed.

The only C-state that appears to cause problems is C6. Check for the "AMD Cool N Quiet" technology as well.
