Hi,
I ordered myself an IBM M1015 / LSI 9220-8i
I am following these 2 posts on how to flash it to IT-mode:
http://codefromabove.com/2017/03/crossflash-ibm-m1015-to-lsi-9220-8i-it-mode-for-freenas/
http://www.penlug.org/foswiki/bin/view/Main/FreeNasHardwareInfoIbmM1015
I started with inserting the card into my NAS (that I built myself) , I was able to clean the old firmware on it using Megarec, but my NAS didn't have a built in EFI Shell, so I tried to run one using rEFInd.
I managed to boot into rEFInd and browse my way into the other USB drive, but I got an error “application not started from shell”, even though I booted rEFInd in UEFI mode.
I moved the card over to my HTPC and booted that into the built in EFI shell. but when running sas2flash.exe... I get "No LSI SAS Adapters found!" , tried booting back into DOS and running MegaRec again, but it did not see the card this time.
At the moment I am left with a card with no firmware and sas2flash.exe does not see it.
Any tips are highly appreciated, as I am running out of disc space and need this card to plug in the HDD's I plan on buying on Black friday.
thanks!
