I'm Elbert Clarke, new to the forum and certainly new to FreeNAS. I just recently built a FreeNAS box based on a Super-micro board and ECC ram, xenon CPU, node 804 case.
I'll setup my profile here on the board and try to learn my way around. My main drive right now is to soak in some information and hope to have a clean break in on the new FreeNAS box and learn proper configuration. I have the current stable release of FreeNAS as of this msg dated 26 Feb.
I've lurked around the board a little and looks like a lot of folks helping each other out. I'm not a command line person, but I can follow some of the limited instructions. I have a Unbuntu laptop I experiment with, but my other machines are windows based and run windows 10pro.
Looking to use my FreeNAS box as a plex server/ storage for music and pictures, for now.
