I will start upgrading my NAS.

Currently using 21xWD Red 6 TB disks..

I'll upgrade to 12 TB disks.. I'm a long time WD user but this time I want to try Seagate disks..

The weird thing is where I live ( Turkey ), Seagate Exos is cheaper than IronWolf disks.

Last year's Exos model ( ST12000NM0007 ) is $328
This year's IronWolf model ( ST12000VN0008 ) is $437.

Should I invest in Exos disks instead of IronWolfs? ( IronWolves? )

Also I saw that ST12000NM0007 has only 128 MB cache while ST12000VN0008 has 256 MB.. I didn't see any performance difference in reviews but how much it would affect the performance of the whole storage pool?

That price difference is certainly stark, which will be hard to ignore when multiplied by 21.

You will want to consider the heat and power consumption issue since you're switching from 5400RPM disks to 7200RPM... usually about 3-5 watts per disk more. Living in a relatively warm climate as you do, this may be more important for ventilation.
