Just was pondering if there is any significant benefit to connecting both Mini-SAS SFF8087 connectors to the backplane as opposed to just using one? Does one get more more lanes and increased speeds?
I have always connected both, but do know that it will detect all 12 drives with just one connected.
Now I am considering connecting a couple SSDs that are housed internally and was thinking of using one of the Mini-SAS SFF8087 connectors (with a breakout) for this.
BTW, I am using a Dell C2100/FS12-TY (anyone surprised?) with a H200 (cross-flashed to LSI 9211-8i in IT Mode)
