Hard Drives not showing in Available Disks field

I am not sure how to identify model number.

Open the case and take a look, then Google whatever numbers you find until something makes sense.

I am not sure how to rule out hardware failure.

You could start with memory and hard drive tests, e.g. using the Ultimate Boot CD.

AMD boards are notorious for having controllers that aren't compatible with FreeNAS/FreeBSD since AMD doesn't make their own controller like Intel does. That's just one of a million reasons we don't recommend any systems that are AMD based.

Please start a new thread regarding your issue. Please take a look at the forum rules in red at the top of the page and the "Posting To Get A Response " section.

In that message, please provide detailed hardware information, as well as the version of FreeNAS that you are using.

The thread you are replying to is 4 years old and you're not likely to get a reply - epsecially since we don't know your environment.
