Hello,
I'm running Freenas 9.2.1.4.1.
I Attached a Sharkoon 5 Bay raid with 2 drives in it, the sharkoon 5 bay is running in Jbod.
One 2 Tb and one 250 Gb

The problem i have , when i remove the 250 gb drive the 2 Tb drive is not available, i think that the 2 hard drive's are running in Stripe mode.

Is there any way to remove the 250 gb drive without losing any date from the 2 Tb drive,
And when the 250 gb drive is removed the 2 Tb drive is Online.

I only want to use the sharkoon in JBOD, i have a 3 Tb drive that i want to install, but alle the drives need to bee set as single drives in Free nas

Excuse me for my poor english writing :)

If you striped the disks, then no, you can't remove either drive. You can verify that, by typing "zpool status" (without the quotes) in the shell and reviewing the output. If you post it here, include code tags to preserve the formatting.

How did you plan to use the 3Tb drive? Striping it with the 2Tb drive, adding it as a mirror to the 2Tb drive? A separate volume?

Piece of advice: Do NOT trust that thing! It uses a SATA port multiplier, which means it's likely to cause problems in the future.

Also, if your data is important, do not stripe it.
