If your using a raid controller or raid, 24/7 commercially then it would be wise to use all red or the same drives for best compatibility

there was a discussion about it in another thread, basically its a new line, 1 year extra warranty, lower power consumption. But they haven't been out long enough in the real world to win us over.

I wouldn't fuss too much about these articles, I have read alot about this new range but still not convinced since there's alot of factors that could contribute to failing drives, its how they manage with the data corruption, errors, drop outs etc as long as you got a backup you should be fine.

Test the drive with hdtune before storing data on it.
