Guide for snapshots?

Does a guide exist for snapshots for me to read? Or does anyone have any posts explaining the positive/negative benefits of enabling it?

Snapshots? Not really (maybe Cyberjock's guide has something, it's been a while since I've read it), but the manual has what you need.

Besides that, keep this in mind:

• Only a single snapshot task can be exported as Shadow Copies via CIFS (the latest, I presume)
• Excessive amounts of snapshots are painful to deal with in the GUI
• If you disable/delete the task, snapshots created by that task will not be automatically deleted

Yeah I search through cyber is guide but I didn't see anything about snapshots. I also just search for the word snapshots in the PDF so it's possible he put a space in it I'm not sure when I get in front of a computer I'll take a look

In the introduction part of the documentation there's a ZFS Primer which includes several useful links, including one to the ZFS entry on Wikipedia. If you search for "snapshots" there, you'll be on your way.
