GUI not working!!! HELP

Hi,
I am stuck. I have had 8.02 running for about 6 weeks no problem. Last night I started trying to install minidlna. I got it installed only to find out that the missing Linux support on FreeBSD was not going to work.

I rebooted and the GUI did not run again. I did a Reset to factory defaults, only to see that everything was wiped out! I did not panic, and focused on the recovery of the files. Almost 4TB.

The Root is accessible from the console and the mountpoints are still there, but the External SH, GUI and all connected interfaces don't work.

What should I do next?

My advise is to try to backup /data/* and then reinstall freenas...

Then use Auto-Import to import the old data

Hi,
I was able to reinstall and Auto-Import everything.... Fortunately, I have everything set up to recover easily. I am going to experiment on a different box for now on....
