Hello,

I'm new to freenas.
I tried at home to access freenas and that worked a bit.
but now i moved the pc to my gf home and i cant use the gui anymore
I already did a factory reset and a gui reset.

in the attached file you can see how the gui looks now.
if i go to account and try to change the admin and set a password it will not save the entered values.
also it does not respond to other command like creating an volume.

(also i cant open it in firefox so i need to use IE)

thx in advance

The missing tree view to the left is a known bug with IE 10.
Use Firefox or Chrome.

If you want more specific help, follow the forum rules: post your hardware specs and a detailed error description (i.e. for Firefox).

okay when i lived at home like a week ago i could use firefox now i'm terrorizing my gf :) i cant acces it in firefox. i'm hooked up bij the same d-link router.

  • FreeNAS version and platform (32 or 64 bit).
i'm running 9.1.1 a 64 bit version (from the website from last week of october +-)
  • General hardware information (CPU, RAM, Motherboard model, etc.).
normaly it aint a hardware problem cause it worked fine with the tree at my home. you can also see that the basic configuration is a core 2 duo processor ant 2 Gb of ram dont know the brand of motherboard. need to open the pc again for it. for the hdd it are 2x2tb (think it were barracuda green came frome my lacie nas where the firmeware died :) ) als i'm booting it from the usb now i also have a hdd install butt it didn't work anymore with that so i also tried a 8 gb usb drive but same result
  • Specific hardware information (Network card chipset, Raid controller chipset, etc.).
  • DMESG output or copy of specific error message.
i don't see an error really. so cant give a report. the only thing fire fox says i can't load the page see picture
  • IFCONFIG output if you are asking about a NIC or networking problem.

You are right, this doesn't look like a hardware problem.
Try to connect to http://192.168.0.135 with Firefox (not HTTPS!). In your IE screenshot you are using HTTP. If https is not configured, you will not be able to access the GUI through https.
