Ok I received my new 3TB drives to replace my 7 year old 2 TB drives. I powered down and added a new drive to an available sata port. When I go to replace the drive in the Pool Status the new drive does not show up.

I powered down again and placed the new drive in the spot where the first drive I am replacing goes and remove the old drive the 3tb drive displays. What am I overlooking here??

Check to see what shows up in "dmesg" from a command line, or "camcontrol devlist".

Well once you get that part figured out the rest is pretty painless. One disk done and starting the next. New drives run 11°C cooler at 33°C
