Hi,

I'm running a virtualized FreeNAS. I have a Stripped Volume on 8 Devices attached to the VM. I added devices over the time to grow the volume. I would like to know if I can only grow the drives / partitions and resize the POOL ?

pool: vol01

state: ONLINE

Just add another drive. Check the autoexpand property on the pool. If it's set to true, the pool will expand in size to include the available storage.

Only, as opposed to what?

You realize that there is no fault tolerance in the pool? If you have a single drive fail, all the pool data is lost.

If you had any fault tolerance, you could replace a smaller disk with a larger disk, but I am not sure if that option is available in this configuration.
