Group Disks

After going through most docs and finding what I thought were 2 perfect google answer tutorials

All i want is to group and jbod 4 differing disks 500, 1T, 1T, 2T from software.
Other tuts look easy with disks then apply., but for all my looking I cannot see the trees for the wood.

Your guides relate to FreeNAS 7 - follow the link at the top of the page to be taken to the FreeNAS 7 forum.

If you want to use FreeNAS 8 and make use of all your disks, I suppose you could create a striped (RAID-0) volume with either UFS or ZFS, but if you lose a single disk you lose all of your data.

Thank you for your reply. I showed the 7 tutorial links as the type I was looking for using in ver 8.

My bad request, basically how do you set up jbod with 4 differing disks, (backup taken elsewhere) in ver 8
