What up. Been running 2, 4bay, MediaSonic Proboxes and StableBit Drivepool to contain about 40TB of media files for a private Emby server. One of my bays is killing drives, and I need a more effective, long term solution that provides more redundancy. I've settled on building my own FreeNAS system, been building computers for 20years, never built a NAS. Came here to compare builds, and decide whether or not to build from scratch, or buy a UXS 2U style server and rack with a budget around 2k. Lots of information out there, just trying to wade my way through it. Thanks in advance for your support.
