Hi folks,
I'm running FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201502070132 on a Dell server. However, twice within the past 4 days, the machine has rebooted without any evidence of why it did so. That is, no relevant dump files in /var/crash or /data/crash. /var/log/messages shows nothing out of the ordinary until the system is starting back up again:
Feb 10 03:08:49 HOSTNAME syslog-ng[2637]: syslog-ng starting up; version='3.5.6'
Feb 10 03:08:49 HOSTNAME Copyright (c) 1992-2014 The FreeBSD Project.
The closest thing I can see about no crash dumps being created is : https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/7547
However, according to the change logs that bug has been prior to the version of FreeNAS I'm running.
Aside from running the Dell hardware diagnostics, is there anything I can do to help figure out what is causing this? Am I looking in the wrong places for evidence of the reboot? And/or are there things I can change in FreeNAS to get more details?
