I am getting errors (probably due to bad SATA cable) that are showing in the logs:
(ada1:ahcich1:0:0:0): READ_FPDMA_QUEUED. ACB: 60 00 28 37 da 40 46 00 00 01 00 00
(ada1:ahcich1:0:0:0): CAM status: Uncorrectable parity/CRC error
SMART seems to be OK so I am trying to understand if there is a way to identify the SATA port on the motherboard that ada1 corresponds to so that I can replace that cable.

The simplest method is to get ada1's serial number from Storage->Disks. Once you locate the physical disk, you can trace that cable to the appropriate motherboard port.

Thanks Samuel,

I was afraid of that. My drives are not easily accessed to view the serial number. Guess I'll do it painfully (again since didn't learn last time) and label them such that I can see the serial in the mounting brackets. Eventually I rebuild the server with a correct "hot swap" case that will allow easier access.

Thanks for your help.
