I've got a homebuilt storage server running FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201412090314. I'm trying to copy a terabyte of files from it to an external drive plugged into a different computer. But when I attempt it, the network connection between the server and the other computer keeps going down after awhile, interrupting the transfer. When I reboot the server, everything's all right again--till the connection fails again. I can't figure out why.
Two questions: How can I stop the server from losing its network connection? Alternatively, what's the best way to plug the external drive directly into the FreeNAS box so I can cut out the middleman?
