Hello All,

I'm a very weird problem where a plugin jail I created for rtorrent (including php-fpm+nginx) started to hang the FreeNAS host.

What i mean by started, is that at first where was no problems, and the jail worked without any problem,
and suddenly after i restarted the host the jail started to misbehave and started to "crash" my machine.

Can any one please help me to debug this problem ?
- which logs i can/need to dig into to troubleshot this problem ?

You can see my setup notes here - http://slexy.org/view/s2HIjSlLnN

update, seems like the machine/host is not totaly dead, by i can't do any thing
-- the web interface will start to load, but will show anything but the menus
-- and when i try to ssh to the machine, i get stuck after the banner

I'm going to go ahead and ask the most obvious question to save everyone else the trouble of asking you later.
Follow forum rules and post your hardware setup.

How much ram? The FreeNAS minimum is 8 GB.

I have 6GB of RAM in my current setup,
and i don't think it's RAM related, as the jail worked for weeks before i had to restart the host.

8GB is the absolute minimum. Jails generally require even more.

Lack of RAM is known to cause all sorts of random issues.

Is there a way i can confirm it ?
because as i said, the jail worked for weeks before the restart, and even now the jail is active but it is only hangs if i start/run rtorrent.

The best way to confirm or deny is to actually meet our minimum requirements. You'll find virtually nobody here willing to help you troubleshoot a problem when you don't even hit our minimum specs.

Other than installing more RAM, not really. Random issues are a pain, so eliminating as many factors as possible is always welcome.

It does not sound so logical, I only have 250GB of storage and a one jail running BTSync and the other one which i created for rtorrent.

But if you insist that I need to have the minimum requirements to get some help in the forums, this leave me no choice, dose it ?
Now i need to see where i can find/scrap a DDR2/667MHz memory sticks.

I am very surprised that JAIL can cause all the system to crash.
