Thanks to everyone who responded for all the help as my FreeNAS server is about to go into production. I am adding this post for others as I found all 6G SSDs are not the same. I was using over the counter generic 120GB Micron SSDs and I wondered why people on the Forum mentioned faster copies on a second pass? I just pulled my six generic SSDs and bought two 120GB eMLC SSDs for mirrored logs and four 240GB eMLC SSDs for cache. Now I know what people meant about second copies being FASTER!!! a 4.17GB file that was copying from and to my test server would take 24 seconds. Now the second copy is less than 4 seconds, whoa baby.

If anyone has recommendations on backing up and replacing boot thumb drives feel free to comment. I am now off to searching the archive on this subject.
