You do realize that FTP is NOT CIFS, right? You keep mentioning FTP speeds, which can be alot different from CIFS.

Thanks for the clarity. I was trying to find a definite answer on whether FTP "bypasses" the CIFS factor. My assumption was they had nothing to do with each other because I'm logging directly into the zpool (so to speak).

The bulk of my transfers are FTP mainly because CIFS is so much slower.
