Hello,
I'm trying to setup windows server 2016 inside VM but if I try VirtIO it crashes.
So at the moment I use AHCI but the performance are very poor. It takes 5 minutes to boot and it lags a lot.

Bhyve doesn't seem very stable at the moment. How do you force stop a vm ?

Thanks.

Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU C2550 @ 2.40GHz
Memory 32703MB

But when I was using virtualbox jail that wasn't that bad.
First, I don't get why it crashes when I try virtIO.

It looks like this issue has been reported. I'm posting a screenshot as the bug is still marked private until the dev gets the info he needs from the reporter

I see. I will wait until some changes then.
What are the command lines associated with bhyve.
There are bhyve, vm, and ? I'm searching a documentation, I don't see on that is clear on the subject.

list

Code:
usr/local/sbin/vm: WARNING: $vm_enable is not set properly - see rc.conf(5).
/usr/local/sbin/vm: ERROR: $vm_enable is not enabled in /etc/rc.conf!

Yep, the "manual" for bhyve. For me, it's not really a manual.
I don't know a presentation with some examples, what other command exist, after googling and playing a little. I know there is bhyvectl.

I don't know when you discover a product you need some few tips. I like to play and do some kinky stuff but I need a safe environnement.
Jokes aside what I mean is some guidelines will be nice. ;)

By the way, I deleted my Windows vm, it was always crashing and unusable. I just wanted to do a WSUS server.
