Problem with that is that when i reboot the VM it never starts back up either.

Problem with that what? How is starting the VM at boot related to that? I don't see the connection.

Did you look for a bug report or file a ticket about the reboot issue?

ISO located via cd-rom device. Thanks. Now, how do I find the ip address and where do I go from there? I assume if I can get an ip I can ssh into it and oversee the installation process from iso to the zvol? I have clicked on 'start' from the menu in the vm tab.

P.S. should the boot method be 'uefi' or 'uefi-csm?

I only had success with uefi. Also, manually creating uefi partitions always end with install failure. I tried CentOS and Ubuntu. Eventually I just let the install auto partition. Another thing I noticed is that the VM hangs on bootup until I connect via VNC once. There is some sort of message on screen about memory momentarily when I VNC in.

After testing: Windows 10 Working:

Create a zvol (with no compres)
Add zvol as disk storage to vm
Create vm selecting the iso
