Hi,

I'm very new to all of this and trying to set up a self signed SSL certificate to impliment into the BTsync plugin. Whne I do this using thenameofmyfreenas.local in the 'common name' feild Google won't allow me access. I think they stopped allowing access for .local names and I now need a Fully Qualified Domain Name. But how do I apply a FQDN to my freeNAS server?

Any help or advice here would be a massive help, spent hours researching this so far and got nowhere.

If you do not have a registered FQDN, use the hostname instead with no dots. eg use thenameofmyfreenas instead of thenameofmyfreenas.local.
