I've been following these stories for a bit. I'm waiting for the prices to fall so I can add another 8GB to my laptop.

NAND-wise, lots of vendors are moving to higher densities, besides some added capacity in China. That's going to drop prices, mostly in the high-end.

DRAM is apparently about to get a big capacity boost from the Chinese fabs that are coming online late this year or so. In practice (if true), that means a sharp drop in demand for the big three vendors (Samsung, Hynix and Micron), which implies lower prices for typical DDR4 densities. DDR3 should stay steady.
