So the answer i get from these replies is that because of new chipset for haswell cpu are not properly supported yet, is better to keep going with a 1155 configuration than a newer 1150, right?
The issue seems more with USB3 in general than a particular chipset; as in the various reports, it seems to affect a rather broad audience, and not just people with the latest intel chips...
Obviously the older the motherboard; the more likely it is to be supported by FreeBSD.
I can't tell if the issue is particular to freenas or FreeBSD in General. There was a severe bug with the xhci drivers in FreeBSD 9 kernel which got fixed in 9.1; and FreeNAS uses that kernel. Many responses in regards to USB3 issues in FreeBSD usually get as an answer to run 9-STABLE branch instead...
Time will tell..
