Just upgraded my production system from 9.2 to 9.2.1.1 to fix the zpool detach hang issue.

Afterwards I notice the / partition was at 102%

Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ufs/FreeNASs1a 948903 887898 -14907 102% /
devfs 1 1 0 100% /dev
/dev/md0 4663 3403 887 79% /etc
/dev/md1 823 7 750 1% /mnt
/dev/md2 460087 135871 287409 32% /var
/dev/ufs/FreeNASs4 20263 2688 15954 14% /data

Is there a way to increase the / size.

I've already increased /var to stop the reporting filling the filesystem and created a seperate syslog pool.

Do you know what is taking up the space? e.g. have you really used that much storage or is some log file or something hogging the space?

It was ok before the upgrade, but 102% after, I also had the syslog pool and increased /var size for 9.2

I might reinstall from scratch and restore the configuration from backup

I have two more identical(ish) systems to upgrade, so I might see what happens on them, before and after.

OK, it's because I've installed Perl to use some of our scripts, but it never filled the 9.1 or the 9.2 releases.

Is there anyway to increase the root filesystem size to alleviate this?
