No, there's more reasons, but we didn't want to put a bunch of bullets on why not to do it in that one little square. We have one reason, which should be more than enough to simply not use it. It's not like a zpool name is ultra critical and this is a major setback for so many users that it requires a detailed explanation with all of the caveats for why it is bad.

It'd be nice to prevent users from doing bad things but there does not seem to be a lot of interest in preventing obviously risky behaviour. see for ex bug 8898.
