I am confused with the FreeNAS documentation. I am sure this has been answered but I didn't find a straight forward response in my searches.

Years ago I created a ZFS RaidZ2 Pool with 6 x 2 TB drives. Typically I am seeing one drive failure per year and replace it with no issues. Last year, I started buying 4 TB drives and replacing failed drives with those. Now I have a pool with 4 x 2 TB drives and 2 x 4 TB drives. When all drives are replaced with 4 TB drives, will the pool size increase or will i have to delete the pool and start over to utilize the larger drives?

If zpool get autoexpand yourpoolname says auto expand is on then in theory it should use all available space once the last drive has been added. I think there was a case or two that it did not but it was fixed with destroying the pool.
