Email Notification for Dataset

Hi Team

May I know did Freenas got the function when the data set storage is > 80% will send an notification email to user?

I able found the notification for Pool in "System" --> "Alert Settings:

Yes and no, you can get notifications from Netdata (in Services), but not FreeNAS directly.

It is the alarm is trigger but the role to send out the notification?
If yes, how i create a new role to a dataset, i try to search on google it almost show how to create the alarm on netdata
If no,how it works?

It’s explained in the manual, I would link it but the forum doesn’t accept paste from iOS at the moment apparently..

The link would apparently be https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11.2-U6/services.html#netdata, but I don't see any explanation there of how to set up new alerts. The netdata docs at https://docs.netdata.cloud/docs/configuration-guide/ explain configuration of that system, but are they valid under FreeNAS? Will configuration changes be persistent?

@yoongacme, why do you want this alert? There's no harm to your system if a dataset exceeds 80% capacity (or even if it reaches 100% capacity).

the manual references the netdata docs so I would imagine that you can edit configs?

Hi Danb35, i need this alert due i would like to inform the user his/her storage is almost full, would like to suggestion clean some storage for their dataset
