Hi guys,

Was looking on for a ECM (enterprise content management) and after testing around with VMs, I fell in love with Alfresco.

Problem is, i think my FreeNAS server is real sweet, and kicks ass in terms of data access performance, I don't want to mess around with this.

Running Alfresco on a VM, which has (for example) a NFS share from FreeNAS is an option but I'm afraid it might compromise data access speed.

So I'm thinking about trying to install Alfresco directly in a FreeBSD jail on FreeNAS.

Now there are several problems with this but the main one is that if I want external access to Alfresco, I'll have to at least forward one port to Alfresco and therefore the FreeNAS server will be accessible from the outside world, which is what I always wanted to avoid.

Anyhow, a few questions I have for you guys:

1) Do you have any experience with an ECM and if so, what are your recommendations ?
(Open Source, Linux, ideally)

2) Any of you guys have experience with Alfresco ?
More specifically with Alfresco + FreeNAS ?
What is your setup like ? (installed it in a jail or on a different machine, etc.)
